The Center for Anthropology, Performance, and Drama (NAPEDRA/USP) invites you to another unmissable event! This edition will feature a screening of Brazilian filmmaker Ana Rieper's documentary, released on October 8, 2025, during the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival. The film investigates how lyrics about sex and desire in funk music produced in Rio's favelas construct a powerful aesthetic and political discourse.
The event begins at 2 p.m. with the screening of the documentary. Immediately after, there will be a panel discussion with the director, Ana Rieper, singer and funk artist MC Carol, and anthropologist and professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Andrea Barbosa.
