
Audiovisual technical support for DA faculty and students
- Technical support for professors and students in the Department of Anthropology in recording, photographic production, editing, and post-production for audiovisual projects resulting from research conducted at the DA. Post-production includes: colorization, DVD and Blu-ray authoring, English and Portuguese subtitling, and cover design.
- Technical assistance for events promoted by the DA that require the use of audiovisual equipment;
Examples: Videoconferencing room: consulting on the use of resources. Room 24 and auditoriums: equipment loan and guidance for recording, broadcasting, and editing conferences, lectures, seminars, etc. • Digitization of analog images and digital processing of photographic images. -
Portuguese subtitling for the deaf for films produced at LISA and foreign films most commonly used in courses by DA teachers; work carried out by a scholarship holder from the PRCEU's Learning with Culture Program, specially trained for this role).
- Technical advice on the purchase and handling of equipment such as notebooks, editing stations, and audio and video recording equipment.
Collection and infrastructure (Consulting, project development and monitoring)
- Development and monitoring of projects for the conservation of audiovisual collections

Collaboration with CEstA to develop a project for the call for proposals “Preservation of Collections and Cultural Heritage at USP”; - Development and monitoring of projects to improve the equipment infrastructure of the Department of Anthropology

Policies for Conservation, Updating, and Dissemination of Collections
- Organization and planning of the use of physical space and furniture for collection items housed in the Technical Reserve;
- Research and updating for the use of supports that meet collection conservation standards;
- Systematic acquisition of films and other audiovisual materials as a collection policy;
- Cataloging and making available in the database of items in the LISA collections.
University outreach activities
- Dissemination of anthropological research developed at DA in film screenings and exhibitions E.g., partnerships with PRCEU-USP agencies (Cinusp, Maria Antônia, CPC, etc.), movie theaters, and exhibition halls in São Paulo.
Submission of audiovisual productions by students and faculty to festivals and exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. - Technical assistance in the production of exhibitions. • Promotion of the dissemination and exchange of the audiovisual collection and research developed at DA with other centers in Brazil and abroad: workshops, lectures, and seminars.
- Donation of videos to public video libraries or NGOs.
