The video focuses on fasting for the month of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Muslim practice. Through statements made by Muslims from three Islamic communities in São Bernardo do Campo, we seek to understand the meanings of fasting, its breaking, the licit and the illicit, the Night of the Decree and, finally, the closing of Ramadan with one of the main holidays of the Islamic calendar, Eid al Fitr.
