Photo incursions in Cidade Tiradentes in a film about funk

In June 2014 Rose Satiko Hikiji, Alexandrine Boudreault-Fournier and I assembled a team to make a fiction film about the funk ostentation in Cidade Tiradentes. It is a cooperation project between USP and the University of Victoria, Canada, financed by FAPESP. The images for the film were captured and edited. In capturing images, I was in charge of photographs. The photos made it easier to stay in the field. They were quickly available on social networks and started to be posted on Facebook by several of the team members. Throughout the research, the photos also brought clues about data that are not necessarily evident, such as the relationship that exists between this musical genre and the evangelical religion. The photos shown here allow a quick view of the research at its different moments.
